运行条件
1, 料封泵正常工作的必要条件是必须有一定的料封高度，料仓料位的压力要大于料封泵内工作时的正压，通过料位压把正负压隔离，风机的风压把料送走，所以必需要有一定的料位高度。
2, 收料库上一定要安装除尘器，除尘器的排风量要大于输灰风机的进风量，否则，进风量大于排风量时，迫使收料库内压力增大，造成系统压力不平衡，管道阻力大，进风从料封泵反窜到料仓以上部分，使料封泵不能正常工作。
发展现状
料封泵现在已广泛应用于水泥厂成品水泥输送及火电厂粉煤灰输送系统。相较于传统的粉体输送设备（仓泵、负压输送）投资小、无故障、维护费用低这是不争的事实。但由于其输送距离限制（当量距离500米，实际距离300米），制约了其在大型火电厂长距离输送工况下的发展，在此问题上有待进一步研究提高。但总的来说在中短距离输送上是一个**的选择。
